Maricar Reyes on May Bukas Pa

Maricar Reyes will be guesting in May Bukas Pa. She will be playing as a taong grasa.
Santino will be making a difference in another girl's life. =)

We have seen Maricar Reyes in several commercials and have seen her acting on Betty la Fea as Armando's first love. But her name started to make noise when it was involved in Hayden Kho's scandal videos. After everything that has happened I can't help but admire how Maricar is dealing with all of these. I can't imagine how awful it is to be involved in a sex scandal...all the intrigues, people judging her and calling her names, people feasting on videos of her that was supposed to be kept private.
But despite all of these she did not loose respect of herself. She just continued to work and live her life with her head up. =)

Good luck Maricar.
I wish you all the best.

Kim already missing gerald

By Joseph Peter R. Conzalez
manilastandardtoday.com

Kim Chiu admits she’d feel sad if Gerald Anderson’s next big project would be with Sarah Geronimo.

“I think it’s understandable,” explains Kim. “We’ve been together as a love team for a long time now. It’s been three years. In a way, I’ll be at a loss if ever my next screen assignments are not with him. It’s still different when he’s my leading man. I’m used to working with him.

“Now, if he’d be paired with Sarah, that’s fine with me. That’s how things are in showbiz. I’ll be happy for him. ABS-CBN just wants the best for us. I trust their decision. As for me, I’ll be okay with whoever gets paired with me in the coming days. We’re already paired with new partners. But as of now, I don’t want to think about it,” she states.

“Actually, what we have right now is a special friendship. As for the real score, there’s nothing definite. I just go with the flow. What’s important is that we’re enjoying each other’s company. And one thing more, it’s hard to focus on a romantic relationship at this point in time considering my busy schedule. I can’t give enough time for the guy if ever and that would be unfair,” says Kim.

Meanwhile, because of its very good showing in the ratings chart, ABS-CBN decided to extend Tayong Dalawa for a few more months.

Marian as next Darna

Darna excited to fly

manilastandardtoday.com

Marian Rivera said she was very excited to wear the Darna costume in a recent shooting for a plug of the upcoming series.

“I really felt a different high when I saw myself in the mirror in the costume. The costume is beautiful especially with the headdress. Just judge for yourselves once the plug starts showing in theaters anytime from now. It’s simply dazzling!” she says.

At present, the controversial star is in the thick of training for the much-coveted role of the popular super heroine.

“My full concentration is on my martial arts training and of course, the wearing of the harness. It’s not a simple process. It’s no joke since as Darna, I have to be credible in aerial fighting scenes. The training is rigorous and in fact, I sustained small bruises but it’s just okay.”

There are rumors that in her latest show which will start taping middle of this month, she’ll be paired with either Mark Herras or Mark Anthony Fernandez. Any comment?

“I see no problem with that. I’m in no position to choose my screen partner. I’ll just let GMA handle that aspect. I would respect their choice. Anyway, I’m okay with the two guys mentioned. The issue between me and Mark [Herras] is already water under the bridge. We’re civil with each other and chat if given the opportunity. It’s just work and I’m sure, it’ll be another great experience for me,” Marian states.

si marian ang magiging next darna?
hmmm... i'm not really a fan of her but i think she's pretty and sexy.
i hope she gives justice to my favorite pinoy superhero. =)

Pokwang to MTRCB: I’m sorry

abscbnnew.com

MANILA - “Wowowee” host Pokwang has formally apologized to the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) for violating the Philippine Flag law.

In a letter dated June 15 and addressed to MTRCB head Ma. Consoliza Laguardia, the ace comedienne said it was not deliberate on her part to wear boxing gloves with Philippine flag as their design.

The comedienne wore the gloves as part of her costume while impersonating boxer Manny Pacquiao’s mother during the show's Independence Day episode. The incident immediately drew criticisms from many viewers, prompting Pokwang to publicly apologize on the same day.

“Since I was told that similar merchandise containing the flag was being openly sold to the public in time for Independence Day, I had mistakenly believed that it was fitting to use the gloves for our June 12 episode,” Pokwang explained in her letter.

“If there was anything improper in my having used the gloves, it was not deliberate on my part and I sincerely apologize for my error,” she added.

Pokwang also promised not to commit the same mistake.

In response to the violation, the MTRCB has summoned Pokwang and other Wowowee executives to its office last Monday.

“Para malaman ko kung bakit nila ginawa ‘yon. Mukhang hindi nila alam na may violation yon,” Laguardia said.

Pokwang, along with Wowowee’s executive producer Phoebe Anievas and Tonette, showed up at the MTRCB office to personally apologize to Laguardia. Tonette was the one who bought the gloves in Divisoria.

“Pumunta naman sila dito (MTRCB office) at ina-admit [nila ang] pagkakamali [nila]. So, I guess naging leksyon din yon sa kanila at hindi na nila ‘yon uulitin,” Laguardia said.

Pamamanhikan of Senator Mar Roxas to Korina Sanchez

seen it on tv... it was like a family reunion for the two families.
Seantor Mar Roxas formally asked Korina's hand for marriage from her family.

hmmmm....
i really don't know, but i just don't feel good about these two.
it just seems so...public? as in publicity?
Why all the cameras and all the people?
why do they have to announce their engagement at wowowee?
And why do we only see them together when it's election time?
honestly!
The last time that their relationship was so publicized was when Senator Mar Roxas was campaigning for Senator.
I'm not saying that Senator Mar Roxas is using Korina for his campaign.
and by the way...i did vote for Mar for senator! =)

But it just seems that there's something wrong...
but i do really hope that i'm the one who's wrong.

what do you think?

Jiro Manio dropped from Star Magic's rolls

abs-cbnNEWS.com |

ABS-CBN's Star Magic has dropped award winning young actor Jiro Manio from its roster of talents due to "unprofessional and irresponsible behavior."

Bong Osorio, head of ABS-CBN Corporate Communication, said in a press statement that Manio has also been pulled out from the production of the network's hit television series "Tayong Dalawa."

Osorio said that before being kicked out of the TV series' cast, Star Magic gave Manio a chance to make up for his absence and bring back his interest in the project.

He said Manio assured that he would return to his work and that he would recover from his “unprofessionalism,” but the young actor failed, the ABS-CBN executive said.

"Tinanggal na si Jiro Manio sa produksyon ng Tayong Dalawa, at hindi na rin siya iri-represent as 'talent' ng Star Magic. Narating ang desisyong ito matapos ang maraming pagkakataong ibinigay kay Jiro upang itama ang ilang maling gawi at bumalik ang kanyang interes na gampanan ang kanyang role sa nasabing teleserye," Osorio said.

The ABS-CBN executive said there's no doubt Manio is a very good actor and his absence would be a great loss for the television series. He said, however, that Manio should be punished for his mistakes.

"Mahusay na artista si Jiro at nakapanghihinayang ang kanyang pagkawala sa Tayong Dalawa pero kailangang bigyan ng tamang leksyon ang ganitong unprofessional at irresponsible behavior," Osorio said.

Manio, who turned 17 last month, is the most awarded actor among his contemporaries in the show business.

In 2004, he won two awards -- Gaward Urian best actor and Famas best child actor -- for the movie “Magnifico.”

Manio also convincingly played his roles in a number of indie films, including “Tambolista."

Recently, the young actor's name made headlines again, but in a very different light. Reports said he has gotten a teenage sweetheart pregnant.

The young actor denied the report.
_______________

Sayang talaga si Jiro!
i've watched many of his movies and tv shows...magaling talaga sana siya.
adolescence nga talaga!
maybe he's just going through some teenager problems ... just a teenager needing help.
